Election time can be very frustrating. You turn on your television set, radio, or sign onto the internet to see or hear a campaign ad from a candidate who is running for office. It is sad however, that the candidate has chosen to waste his or her money to run his or her component’s name through the mud. People may not have the time, or choose not to take the time to do their own homework or research on the candidates who are running and take the advertisement’s word for it. These forms of Social Media, sadly really do influence our elections and their outcomes.
In recent history we have had the story of Arnold Schwartzenegger, and the child that he had out of wedlock. With the breaking of this story, some people felt that it really jeopardized any chances that Arnold had of being re-elected. Currently, there has been the issue of Barrack Obama’s birth certificate. In this case, some people feel that people are stooping really low to find anything that just might get him out of the White House because of his ethnicity. When dealing with Social Media, it is up to the viewer or listener, to determine what is true or not.Want to know more?
